Datrek cart bags are HUGE! Have you ever seen one? The are absolutely monstrous with tons of room and perhaps in just an illusion, but they seem to be much larger than normal cart bags. They are almost like staff bags.

Cart bags are bigger than normal carry or stand bags, mainly because they are designed to be carried on carts, so this is one case where size doesn’t matter. . . except of course when you are loading into the trunk and taking it out!

Because of this they are made big to hold everything you could think of, from umbrellas to six-packs to swimwear for when it gets wet – well, perhaps that’s a slight exaggeration, but certainly rainwear.

There’s therefore no rule that Datrek bags can’t be huge. You just have to make sure you can carry them from the house to the car and lift them into the trunk. If not, then go for a smaller cart bag. Go for one you can carry.

Datrek Have Many New Models Of Cart Bag

Datrek have produced new models for 2007 – lots of them. Let’s have a look at the least and most expensive. At the lower end of the range is the Datrek Delta with a 14 compartment top and a putter tube. It has eight pockets and a zippered rain hood to keep the clubs dry when it rains. This bag weighs all of 6 pounds. That’s pretty light, so you should be able to carry that OK.

A useful service provided by Datrek is that you can your initials monogrammed onto the bag. This is good for security. Even if removed it can still be detected.

At the other end of the scale, about $100 more expensive, is the Datrek NFL cart golf bag. This has 14 full length dividers and two putter tubes. Who uses two putters? I suppose one could be used for your favorite wedge, or whatever. It has seven pockets and the same rain hood. The cart strapping system is good and easy to use, and the weight is still only eight pounds. This is still pretty light for such a substantial bag.

If you are looking for something a bit more substantial that a large carry bag that can hold a lot of stuff, then you could do worse than opt for one of the large range of Datrek cart bags. I wouldn’t mind using one if mine didn’t still have a good life left in it.
