You might think it a bit highly priced, but I don’t. It’s less than you would pay for a good wood or a cheap set of irons, yet it protects your clubs and reduces strains and stresses on your body.

The Shling is Unique

The Schling itself is a padded plastic yolk that takes the place of the normal golf bag straps. It makes it much easier to pick up and carry than a normal bag and is more comfortable and better for your back and shoulders. If you have any back or shoulder problems then this could be the answer to your prayers.

What Are The Extras?

How about the Woode top: that’s patented, and with the 3-way shaft dividers it lets you organize your clubs exactly the way you like them and locate them instantly. No more rummaging around for that 5 iron you know is in there somewhere and damaging the rest of your clubs in the process. How about the Ogio molded ball silo and dispenser – that’s also patented. The features are endless. I forgot to mention the zippered rain hood!

Eleven pockets will carry everything you need, and six are zippered with one fleece lined for your rings and other valuables, and another is wet/dry. Enough storage for any tour professional, let alone the average golfer. Speaking about storage, if you want to put it in your trunk it weighs less than 5.9 lbs., and possesses an integrated Lift Grip trunk handle. If you intend to use it on a cart, it comes with a cord to secure the yolk to the cart.

Not Many Negatives

I’m finding it difficult to spot any negatives with this stand bag. It’s an indication of how good it is that about the only complaint I can make is that at $230 it only comes in three colors, so there isn’t much chance of being different from the next guy. Then again, I reckon that the bag itself is so different and ahead of its time that you don’t need to have it in a unique color.

It’s unique enough as it is, and I think it’s a great looking bag. It’s much more than this, however. It does the business. You get what you pay for and I think it is one of the best bags on the market at the moment, if not THE best bag. I don’t use one myself, but when I am next looking for a new golf bag the OGIO Vision SS Shling Stand Bag will be one of the first I have a good look at.
